John Kitonis

A child of parents who lived through the counter culture revolution of the 60s, John Kitonis was brought up with those sounds in his ears.  His earliest memories include road trips in various VW micro buses with the songs of the time coming through FM radio and 8-track.  John is equally at home with the singer songwriter sounds that reflect the Laurel Canyon as he is with the harder edged rock and americana sounds that emerged elsewhere in the country.

In 2017,  John co-founded Raised By Hippies, an electric band playing deep cuts by the seminal bands of the 60s and 70s as well as newer bands that carry that vibe forward.  When not busy with the band, John also plays a solo acoustic show celebrating that side of the music.
