Raised by Hippies was formed out of a shared obsession: to keep the music of the late 1960s and early 1970s alive and on stage where it belongs. What began as a handful of backyard jams quickly grew into a full-band mission to faithfully revive the era’s grit, groove, and improvisational spirit. RBH channels the twin-guitar dialogues of The Allman Brothers, the swagger and drive of The Rolling Stones, with soulful vocals, while paying reverent tribute to Hendrix, Cream, Derek & the Dominos, Blind Faith, and The Band.
On stage, Raised by Hippies blends precise arrangements with open-ended jams. A set might open with a tight, riff-driven crowd-pleaser, melt into a soulful passage, and explode into an extended jam that tips its hat to festival-era improvisation. The band’s sound prioritizes authentic tone: warm tube amps, vintage gear, Hammond-inspired keys, and a rhythm section that breathes and swings.
